Flex or Fixe: when do I pay and what can I cancel?

Here is when you pay for your stay and what you can cancel, depending on whether you choose the Flex offer or the Fixe offer.

When to pay, depending on your booking date

If you book more than 80 days before the start of your stay:

  • with the Flex offer, you make a first payment of a deposit of £89 per person to confirm the booking. You then pay the difference needed to bring the total deposit to 30% within the following month, and finally the balance 80 days before departure;

  • with the Fixe offer, which cannot be cancelled and is not refundable, you pay the full amount immediately when you book to confirm.

If you book less than 80 days before the start of your stay, immediate payment in full is required when you book, in all cases, to confirm.

Flex offer: a deposit, then a balance

The Flex offer lets you pay a deposit and then a balance. What you lose if you cancel depends on the date:

  • more than 80 days before departure, only the deposit is kept as cancellation fees;

  • less than 80 days before departure, 100% of the stay is kept.

Two examples for a stay in February with the Flex offer:

  • you have paid the deposit and you cancel in October, which is more than 80 days before the start of your stay: only the deposit paid is kept as cancellation fees, and the balance payment due later is cancelled;

  • you have paid the deposit and the balance and you cancel in January, which is less than 80 days before the start of your stay: all the amounts paid are kept as cancellation fees.

Fixe offer: one payment, a fixed stay

The Fixe offer requires a single payment. The price of the stay is lower than with the Flex offer, but you must pay in full and, once the stay is booked, it can no longer be changed.

  • Cancelling a stay costs 100% in cancellation fees.

  • Changing the stay is not possible without also incurring 100% in fees.

For example, if you book a stay today and want to cancel a week or a month later, it makes no difference: the Fixe offer incurs fees of 100% of what you have paid. It is therefore not possible to be refunded.

Tip: with the Flex or Fixe offer, we always recommend taking out cancellation insurance. It is useful if you need to change or cancel the stay you have booked.
