Several heating and hot water supply systems are used in Paris Habitat homes. Here is a reminder of the usage and maintenance advice presented to you by your caretaker during the move-in inspection.
The water heaterYour home is equipped with an individual electric water heater. Its thermostat must be set to 55 degrees. This will reduce the risk of limescale buildup and Legionnaires’ disease. It is also necessary to drain the tank regularly by opening its tap and letting the water run for a few seconds.
Central heatingThis system requires no action on your part. The boiler room is commissioned by a service provider at the request of Paris Habitat. In the event of insufficient heating or overheating, contact your caretaker or your local office.
Individual gas heatingYour boiler is serviced by a service provider. In the event of a malfunction, contact your caretaker without delay.
When the heating is turned back on, some parts of your radiators may remain cold or lukewarm. It is necessary to bleed the radiators to remove air accumulated in the hot water circuit. Once a year, Paris Habitat’s service providers must inspect the heating systems.
Individual electric heatingYou decide when to turn on the heating. In the event of a malfunction, do not use a portable heater and contact your caretaker without delay.
In winter, central heating contracts provide that the temperature must be 19 degrees in the home. If your home has individual heating, we invite you to adjust it to achieve the same temperature in your home.
