Choosing a seat or a couchette

The night train has 6 types of sleeping accommodation. The first three are individual:

  • Seat: perfect for a reduced-price stay. Non-reclining seats, power socket, welcome kit, breakfast optional.

  • Standard couchette: individual couchette in a shared 6-berth cabin. Power socket, welcome kit, storage space, sleeping-bag sheet provided, pillowcase provided, blanket provided, breakfast optional.

  • Standard plus couchette: individual couchette in a shared 6-berth cabin. Power socket, welcome kit, storage space, sheet provided, pillowcase provided, duvet provided, breakfast optional, comfortable mattress topper provided.

Booking a private compartment

The other three are private compartments.

  • Standard private compartment: booking of an entire 6-berth compartment in standard, alone or with others, for 1 to 6 people. The price is per compartment and not per person. Private 6-berth compartment, power socket, welcome kit, storage space, sleeping-bag sheet provided, pillowcase provided, blanket provided, breakfast optional.

  • Standard plus private compartment: booking of an entire 6-berth compartment in standard plus, alone or with others, for 1 to 6 people. The price is per compartment and not per person. Private 6-berth compartment, power socket, welcome kit, storage space, sheet provided, pillowcase provided, duvet provided, breakfast optional, comfortable mattress topper provided.

  • First-class private compartment (the “First”): booking of an entire 3-berth compartment in First, alone or with others, for 1 to 3 people. Private 3-berth compartment, premium bedding, 3 seats, private washbasin, breakfast optional, real beds fitted with sheets, duvet and pillowcase, power socket, large storage space, welcome kit.

First compartments can be interconnecting on request. Send your request by email to support.uk@travelski.com, subject to availability.

Travelling with babies, children or a group

  • Babies and children under 2 can share a couchette with their parent, at the parent's own risk. They do not need to book an additional couchette.

  • The train has a nursery area for changing babies, but there is no cot or other equipment on board.

  • When couchettes are booked for adults and minors, the allocation ensures that minors will always be in the same compartment as an adult (within the limit of a compartment's capacity).

Important: buying 6 standard or standard plus couchettes absolutely does not guarantee having a private compartment. The couchettes may be allocated in different compartments and carriages depending on the train's filling needs. Only the selection of a private compartment guarantees that travellers will be together.

Catering on board

The restaurant car is accessible one hour before the train departs, with a dedicated barista. It offers dishes, snacks and drinks, with as many local, organic, short-supply-chain and more responsible products as possible.

Breakfast can be booked at the time of booking or directly on the train. It includes a hot drink, a croissant, two slices of fresh bread, butter, jam and a yoghurt.
