1. Give ViaSay access to your Page

Share your Facebook Page with ViaSay's business portfolio so the chatbot can read and answer messages.

Updated on September 24, 2026

Who does this: the Page admin, on the client side. Time: about 5 minutes.

Before you start

You need:

  • Admin access to the Facebook Page, from a business portfolio you control

  • Mindsay already added as a partner on that portfolio

Mindsay is our business portfolio. ViaSay operates under the Mindsay business portfolio on Meta — you will see that name in the interface. It is the same company.
**Business ID: **1873914785976276

If Mindsay is not yet listed as a partner, add it first: Partners → Add → Give a partner access to your assets, then enter the Business ID above.

Step 1 — Open your partner settings

Go to https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/partners

Make sure the business portfolio selected at the top of the page is the one that owns your Facebook Page.

Step 2 — Select Mindsay

In the partner list, click Mindsay. Stay on the Assets you've assigned tab — this is what Mindsay can access from you.

Step 3 — Assign your Page

Click Assign assets (top right). Select Facebook Pages → tick {your Page}.

Step 4 — Choose the permissions and Save

Turn on the single Partial access (business tools and Facebook) toggle.

This single toggle covers everything the chatbot needs. It grants more than we use — ViaSay only reads and replies to messages — but it is the fastest option to set up. If your organisation requires a narrower scope, use Partial access (business tools only) and enable Messages and Community activity; both are required.

**Click Save. **

Confirming it worked

Reopen Partners → Mindsay → Facebook Pages and check that both Messages and Community activity appear as granted. Then let your ViaSay contact know — we complete the technical setup on our side, and no further action is needed from you.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Cause

Fix

Mindsay is not in the partner list

The partnership has not been created yet

Add it via Partners → Add, Business ID 1873914785976276

The permission toggles are greyed out and only "Cancel" is available

You are viewing Assets assigned to you, not Assets you've assigned

Switch tabs. Only the Page owner can change these permissions

Your Page does not appear in the asset list

The Page belongs to a different business portfolio

Switch portfolio using the selector at the top of the page

The Page appears, but permissions cannot be edited

Your own role on the Page is not Admin

Ask a Page admin in your organisation to perform these steps

ViaSay reports error #200 after you have saved

Access was granted under Partial access (business tools only) with Community activity left off

Reopen Step 4 and switch on Partial access (business tools and Facebook) instead
