Paris Habitat supports the vision of a carbon-neutral city and the gradual return of nature to the city for the quality of life of its residents.
In this respect, Paris Habitat is committed to:
Developing cool islands
Ambitious planting and landscaping objectives
Protecting our plant heritage through committed employees
Promoting and supporting all individual and collective initiatives in favor of bringing nature back into our city
These strong commitments are supported by the “Plan Nature en Ville”, which provides for planting the equivalent of one tree for every 100 m² of newly created planted area. In 2022, Paris Habitat identified 176 sites with open-ground areas where 500 trees could be planted, at a cost of €200,000. This plan also relies on the involvement of tenants.
That is why the organization continues to support the creation of shared gardens and provides each one with support from specialized associations. Today, nearly 14,000 m² of green spaces managed by residents have been established throughout the entire property portfolio. This momentum is strengthened by the implementation of the “Main verte” project, which enables every willing tenant to contribute to the green and supervised use of our property portfolio.
